Help, please, I’d like to move up from our McGregor 26 sailboat to something larger, say a 33 to 38 LOA older cruiser. Problem is, older balsa- cored sailboats develop “soft spots”. I should know, once had a Balboa 26. Other than the old 33 and 37 foot CSY’s, are there any other boats featuring solid fiberglass construction? Many thanks !

I see that when you look at buying a sailboat it says what kind of fuel it uses. What is that fuel for? I thought I could be on a boat and not use any fuel at all. Is that true?

For example if you have a 35′ cruising sailboat can you just stay on your course and big tankers and stuff have to make way for you?

I just bought a ghost 13 sailboat, and I am trying to replace the round plastic gizmo’s that cover the storage area and the bilge, But i have no idea what they are called. They screw into a plastic rim.
