Think about how many boats there are. Is the sea so immense that their removal would have no effect, or would the sea level actually change at all?
Story Problem:
You are standing on the beach looking out over the water.
You see a sailboat off in the distance and want to try and figure out how far away it is.
Being a sailboat aficionado, you know this particular boat has an
80-foot mast.
You decide to use your 10-foot beach umbrella to calculate the distance to the boat.
You lie down on the sand 20 feet
away from your umbrella and are able to look out at the boat.
The umbrella and the mast are now lined up.
Determine how far away the boat is.
Do they check if the boat is registered?
Do they check for life vests?
Do they check for fishing licenses?
Do they actually check for all these things before actually being allowed to launch?
I’m starting a business in a city north of Ontario. I have all the numbers and methods down but I need help with advertising to cottagers coming to their cottages. The entrance is through an eastern marina at the lake and cottagers park their cars there. They then untarp and load their boats with everything and head out. Since this is a new business, I need help with finding a creative way to advertise my company. It really has to be creative, I am already doing the flyers on the boat method.
Any recomendations for a specific kind of boat? Something that I could operate with one other person.
