Learning how to sail isn’t hard if you’re near water, since chances are there will be a sailing school near you. tacking is when you take the bow (pointy end) of the boat through the eye of the wind.
Jibing is when you take the stern( back end) of the boat through the eye of the wind
it is not necessarily about sailing upwind or downwind
